Once upon a time, there was a small boy named Jack. He was a bright, energetic and curious boy who could be found running around, exploring, and doing all he could to learn new things.
One day, Jack decided to go on a grand adventure and explore the forest near his home. He was determined to go as deep into the forest as he could. Jack was excited for the adventure and wanted to make sure he didn’t miss anything.
However, unbeknownst to Jack, the deeper he ventured in the forest, the more dangerous it became. He was suddenly met with the realization that he had ventured too far and was now lost. As he started to panic, he heard the sound of a wolf in the distance.
Jack was scared and he had to find a way to get back home. He thought and thought, but no solution seemed to come to him. Jack was full of fear and anxiety, but then he remembered something his parents had always told him. They had said that if he ever was scared or lost, he should remain still and try to remain calm.
Jack followed his parents’ advice and, much to his relief, the wolf eventually left. Jack was relieved and thanked his parents in his mind for their wise words.
Though he could no longer hear the wolf, the danger wasn’t gone. Jack was still lost in the forest, and he was getting tired and cold. As he trudged through the forest, he started to feel hopeless and overwhelmed. He thought of giving up and lying down to take a nap, but he then remembered there was an old saying his mother always liked to recite. It said, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way”.
Jack recalled these words and was filled with a new sense of determination. Instead of giving into the darkness, he stood up and kept pushing forward until he found his way home.
Moral: No matter how dark and difficult the situation may be, if you have the will and determination to keep going, you will find a way.
