Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there lived a boy named Add. Add was a very unimpressed young man. He was never impressed by anyone or anything and couldn’t be bothered to give them any attention. He thought nothing of anyone and their achievements, no matter how grand they may be.
Add had grown up surrounded by people who were so impressed with their successes and their talents, and he found it all to be mind-numbingly dull. Nothing was exciting enough to make Add take notice. He felt like the only person in the world who didn’t care what was happening around him.
But despite his constant disinterest, Add still had a good heart. One day, while walking through the market, Add noticed an old man trying to sell some apples. The man was obviously struggling, as no one was buying the apples.
Add noticed this and walked up to the man and asked how much the apples were. The man replied that he was selling them for two cents each. Without hesitation, Add bought all of the apples and handed them over to the old man.
The old man was surprised by Add’s kindness and thanked him for his generosity. Add simply shrugged it off and said it was nothing.
But little did Add know, his small act of kindness had made a big difference. The old man was able to give the money to his family, which helped them make ends meet.
Add, who was unimpressed with all the successes and accomplishments of people around him, was actually the one that made a difference. He may have been unimpressed with everything going on around him, but he was still a good person and took the time to help those in need.
The moral of this story is that even if we can’t find something to be impressed with, we can still make a difference by helping those around us. Regardless of our opinion of the world, we can still show love and kindness to our fellow man.
