Once upon a time, there lived a little boy named Undiscolored. He was an average looking kid, but he had a heart that was more colorful than a rainbow. He was the kind of boy who was always happy and energetic, despite his lack of color.
One day, Undiscolored went to the park with his father. While they were walking, they saw a little girl with the most beautiful rainbow hair. All the other kids around her were mesmerized by her unique look, but Undiscolored seemed unaffected. He kept walking with his father and soon the girl had disappeared from his sight.
He couldn’t help but feel a little envious of the girl, so he wished that he had her hair. His father, sensing his son’s sadness, told Undiscolored that it’s ok to be different and even better to embrace it. He reminded Undiscolored that he was special in his own way, and that’s what made him stand out from the rest.
The next day at school, Undiscolored noticed something peculiar. All the kids around him were wearing the same colorful clothes, but he had nothing to show for himself. He was the only one without any color. Though feeling a little left out, he decided to embrace his uniqueness and he wore his usual black clothes without a care in the world.
On the playground, all the kids were playing together but nobody was talking to Undiscolored. He felt alone and excluded from the group. Just when he was about to give up, the little girl with the rainbow hair from the park came up to him and asked if he wanted to play together. She reminded him of the importance of being comfortable in his own skin and being proud of being different.
The two became fast friends and went on many adventures together. They went on treasure hunts, built treehouses and talked about anything and everything. Most important of all, they were there for each other and never made fun of the other’s differences.
As they grew up, they remained best friends and still looked out for each other. They both taught each other the importance of being comfortable in their own skin and embracing the things that make them unique.
Moral of the story: Everyone is unique and special in their own way. It’s important to feel comfortable with who we are and not be afraid to be different. Embrace your uniqueness and never be ashamed of it.
