Once upon a time, there lived a young boy named Sam. He was a friendly, kind-hearted person and was loved by everyone.
One day, his parents had gone to the grocery store and left him alone at home. Just then, Sam had an idea. He wanted to try something new and different, something that he had never noticed before.
So, he quietly sneaked out of the house and began wandering around the neighborhood. He came across a nearby house and noticed that the door was slightly ajar. Curiosity got the better of him and he decided to enter the house. He slowly crept inside, trying not to make any noise.
Once inside, Sam noticed that the house seemed to be abandoned. He began exploring the rooms and found a box in one of them. He opened the box, and what he saw amazed him. Inside were several items that were not his – a book, a watch, and some coins.
At first, Sam thought of just keeping the items and not telling anyone. He figured that no one would find out, and he could keep these items as his own.
But something inside Sam told him that this was wrong. He knew he should not steal, even if no one would find out. He quickly decided to return the items to their rightful owner, but he was unsure how.
Just then, he heard a voice coming from outside. It was his mother, calling for him to come back home. Quickly, Sam grabbed the box and ran out of the house, making sure to close the door behind him. He returned the items back to the house and hurried back home, hoping that his parents did not see him.
When his parents asked him where he had gone, Sam told them the truth and admitted that he was wrong for considering stealing the items.
Moral of the story: No matter how tempting it is, it’s wrong to steal or take what is not yours. Always remember to do the right thing and act with honesty and integrity.
