Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Abigail who had a very rare condition called Spondylarthritis. Abigail had been diagnosed with this condition when she was only 10 years old, and since then had to go through various treatments and medications in order to keep her condition under control.
Abigail was a very active girl who loved to do all the things her friends did, such as running around and playing sports. Unfortunately, due to the stiffness in her joints and pain she was having from her condition, she could not take part in these activities. It made her very sad, but she always tried to stay positive and focus on other activities instead.
One day, Abigail’s parents decided to take her to a nearby park. It was the biggest park in town and Abigail was very excited to visit. When they arrived, Abigail noticed a young boy who looked to be a few years older than her. The boy was playing with a Frisbee and throwing it back and forth with his friends.
Abigail watched the boy with admiration. She wanted to join in the fun, but knew that her condition wouldn’t allow her to. She decided to stay put and watch from the sidelines.
All of a sudden, the Frisbee came flying her way. It landed right next to her and she quickly picked it up and threw it back to the boy. She was surprised to see how easily she was able to throw it back, considering the pain she had been feeling in her joints.
The boy thanked her and asked her to join them. Abigail was overjoyed and happily joined in the game. She was able to play with the group of kids for hours, and by the end of the day she was no longer feeling any pain.
Abigail went home that night feeling happy and relieved. She realized that even though she had a chronic condition, it was still possible for her to enjoy her life and do the things she loved.
Moral of the story: No matter what chronic condition you may have, you should never limit yourself or let it keep you from doing the things you enjoy. With a positive attitude and determination, you can still live a full and happy life.
