Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a family with four young children. The father and mother were hardworking and loving, but money was scarce and the children often went hungry.
One evening, the father was out walking in the woods and stumbled upon a strange object – a schnabelkanne. It was a beautiful kettle with a long spout like a beak and it was made of a material he had never seen before. He knew it was special and decided it must be a gift from the gods.
He took it home to his family and showed them the schnabelkanne. The children were amazed by its beauty and could not believe their eyes.
From that moment on, the father used the schnabelkanne to provide for his family. He used the spout to fill the kettle with water from the river, or the rain that collected in the nearby pond, and with that water, he was able to make porridge for the children.
The porridge was not only nourishing, but it was also a symbol of hope for the family. They were able to enjoy the porridge night after night, knowing that the gods had provided them with a means of survival.
The children thanked their father for the wonderful gift and vowed to never forget the gift of the schnabelkanne.
The moral of the story is that with the help of the gods, even the most hopeless situation can be turned around. We should never give up on ourselves or our dreams and we should always strive to make the best of what we have.
