Once upon a time, there lived a young boy named Proteroglyphic who was a gifted inventor. He had a deep passion for science and engineering and spent a lot of time tinkering in his work shed. Proteroglyphic was always inventing new things and thinking up new ideas, but he was often too afraid to try them out.
One day, Proteroglyphic decided to try something riskier. He had an idea to create a machine that could help him do things faster and more efficiently. He was determined to make it work and so he spent days and nights in his shed, working on his invention.
When it was finally done, Proteroglyphic thought his invention was amazing. He was so proud of himself and couldn’t wait to show it off to his family and friends. But the minute he stepped outside his shed, he realized how complex the machine was and how uncertain the outcome was. He was so scared to try it out and he knew that failure would be embarrassing.
He was about to go back inside to shut it down and never tell anyone about it, when he suddenly heard a voice from behind him.
“Go ahead and try it out,” it said.
Proteroglyphic turned around and saw a man walking towards him. The man had a calm, reassuring look on his face. “It is ok to be scared, it is a part of life,” he said.
The man’s words gave Proteroglyphic the courage he needed to try out his invention. He took a deep breath and pressed the button. To his amazement, the machine worked perfectly! He was so proud of himself and thanked the man for his encouragement.
The man smiled and said, “You never know what amazing things you can do until you take the risk.”
Proteroglyphic was amazed at how brave and determined he had been. From then on, he continued to think up new inventions and ideas and always tried them out despite his fear.
The moral of the story is that it is ok to be scared and it is part of life. But don’t let it stop you from trying out new things, because you never know what amazing things you can accomplish until you take the risk.
