Once upon a time, in a small town there lived a boy named Pricky. Pricky was the most mischievous boy in the entire village and had a knack for getting himself into trouble.
One day, Pricky heard about an old abandoned shed near the edge of the town. Being an adventurous soul, Pricky was curious to see what was inside the mysterious shed. So, one fine day after school, Pricky grabbed a stick, and wandered off to the shed.
When he reached the shed, Pricky peered inside, and gasped in amazement. It was full of shiny coins, jewellery and other expensive trinkets. There were plenty of things to take and Pricky’s heart began to beat faster.
He quickly grabbed some coins and other trinkets and put them into his pocket. However, what he didn’t know was that inside the shed laid a very dangerous trap. As soon as Pricky stepped out of the shed, he was met with a shower of metal spikes that flew towards him. Pricky screamed in pain as the spikes pierced his skin.
He ran back home, bleeding from the wounds caused by the spikes. Pricky was in pain and he knew he had to tell somebody about his experience. So, he quickly informed his parents about what happened.
When his parents heard about the incident, they immediately took him to the doctor. After a few days, Pricky was all healed up, but he still had the scars to remind him of his foolish mistake.
From that day on, Pricky vowed to never do anything without thinking it through. He realised that one should always be aware of his surroundings, and not do anything without understanding the consequences. This incident taught Pricky the most valuable lesson of his life.
Moral of the story:
Never do anything without understanding the consequences. Always be aware of your surroundings and think twice before doing anything that may be dangerous.
