Once upon a time there lived a little boy named Toby. He lived in a small village near a pond. Every day, Toby would go to the pond to see the polliwogs. He would watch them for hours and imagine what it must be like to be a polliwog.
One day, Toby’s imagination got the better of him. He decided to climb into the pond to see the polliwogs up close. Toby had heard that polliwogs were supposed to be shy and he didn’t want to startle them. So, he slowly and carefully dipped his toes into the water and watched as the polliwogs swam away in a hurry.
Then, Toby heard some voices behind him. He turned to find an old woman and her daughter. They were looking right at him! The old woman asked him, “What are you doing here, little boy?” Toby was embarrassed and quickly told them that he was just admiring the polliwogs.
The old woman smiled and said, “Ah, I see. You have a kind heart, but you must remember that we are all different. As long as you respect the polliwogs and their home, then they will respect you too.” Toby nodded and thanked the old woman before walking away.
Toby then knew that he should respect the polliwogs and their environment. He also realized that he should respect all living things and their homes.
The moral of the story is that we should always respect the environment and all living things. Respect will lead to harmony and understanding in our world.
