Once upon a time, there lived a boy who was very shy and introverted. His name was John. John was always scared of talking to people and would often opt to stay at home instead of playing with other kids, much to his parents’ dismay.

John’s school was in the middle of having a big math competition and his parents were hoping he would participate, but John was very nervous about taking part and just didn’t want to. He had a fear of public speaking and was worried that if he did take part, he’d fail and be laughed at.

One day, John’s teacher Mr. Jones asked him to come to his office during recess. When he arrived, Mr. Jones asked him why he wasn’t participating in the math competition, and John told him his fears.

Mr. Jones understood and decided to help him. He told John he’d help him get over his fears by giving him extra classes after school. He said he’d help him practice the math and develop his confidence, so that he could do well in the competition.

At first, John was very uneasy about this extra help, but Mr. Jones encouraged him to keep going and keep trying. All the extra practice paid off and, to everyone’s surprise, John ended up winning the math competition.

The moral of this story is clear: with a bit of determination and persistence, you can overcome any obstacle and achieve your goals. It doesn’t matter if you’re scared or shy, if you work hard and believe in yourself, you can get it done.
