Once upon a time, there lived a young girl named Leigh. She was a sweet and energetic child who was always happy and full of life.

One day when Leigh was playing outside with her friends, she came across a large and mysterious trunk. She was curious to find out what was inside so she opened it. To her surprise, she found a pile of old coins. She was so excited that she quickly put them in her pocket, gleefully running back home.

When Leigh arrived home, she told her parents about the treasure she had found. Her parents were not too happy with the news and they scolded her for taking something that did not belong to her. Leigh felt a little embarrassed but she kept her head down and promised to return the coins to their rightful owner.

The following day, Leigh and her parents decided to go back to where she had found the treasure. When they got there, they were surprised to see an elderly man searching for something. It turned out that that the trunk Leigh had opened belonged to the old man. Leigh immediately confessed to the old man and returned the coins to him.

The old man was extremely thankful for Leigh’s honesty and rewarded her with an even greater treasure – a beautiful jade necklace. Leigh was overjoyed with the gift but more than that, she was glad that she had done the right thing.

The moral of the story is that honesty is always the best policy. No matter the situation, it is always better to do the right thing and own up to your mistakes, as good things are sure to come your way!
