Isidore was a happy little boy who lived with his parents and siblings in a small town near the countryside. He was the youngest in the family and he was always full of energy. Every morning, Isidore would get up bright and early and he would be ready to take on the day.
One day, while Isidore was playing outside with his friends, he noticed a small puppy wandering around. Soon enough, he realized that the puppy had no home. Isidore felt very sorry for the puppy and decided to take him in and take care of him.
Isidore’s parents were a bit hesitant at first but they eventually agreed to let him keep the puppy. Isidore named the puppy Spot and he would take him for long walks and play with him in the backyard.
The next day, Isidore had plans to go for a bicycle ride but he didn’t want to leave Spot alone. So, he decided to bring him along in his basket. Spot enjoyed the ride and Isidore was extremely happy that he could bring his best friend with him.
Unfortunately, their journey was cut short when a thunderstorm began to rage and Isidore was forced to take shelter in a nearby barn. He realized that Spot was very scared and he was so relieved when the storm was over and they could finally be on their way again.
When they were back on the road, Isidore’s bike hit a rock and he stumbled. Spot immediately ran to his side and licked his face. Isidore was surprised that Spot was so protective of him and he realized that his new friend really cared for him.
The moral of Isidore’s story is that even though you may not have planned for something, there’s usually a silver lining that can come out of it. He learned that sometimes you don’t need to look too far for friendship; all you need to do is take a closer look.
