Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Lily. She was so beautiful and always smiling that everyone around her wanted to be her friend.
One day, Lily decided to visit her friend at school. When she arrived, she immediately noticed every head turning to look at her. She wasn’t used to so much attention and felt a bit embarrassed by it.
Suddenly, a boy in her class started flirting with her. He was very cute and charming, but Lily was not interested. Every time he tried to get close to her, she would turn away.
But the boy was persistent. He kept trying to ask her out on dates and sent her love notes. He even sent her flowers on her birthday. But Lily refused each time.
The boy was getting desperate and decided to take things to the next level. He started sending her expensive gifts, hoping that she would change her mind and accept his advances.
But Lily was not interested. She felt uncomfortable with all the attention and started to avoid the boy. But he kept on bothering her.
One day, the boy asked Lily to go on a date with him. She refused and explained that she was not interested in a romantic relationship. The boy was heartbroken and admitted that he had been using flattery and gifts to try and win her affections.
Lily was surprised and angry at the same time. She told him that flattery and gifts will not get him anywhere and that he should respect her wishes and stop bothering her.
The boy was ashamed of his behaviour and apologized to her. He promised to never try and use flattery and gifts as a way to manipulate someone again.
Lily accepted his apology and the two soon became good friends.
Moral of the story: Flattering and giving gifts to someone does not guarantee that you will get what you want. Respect the wishes of others and try to build relationships based on mutual trust and respect.
