Once upon a time there lived a little girl called Eightpenny. She lived in a small village with her parents and her two siblings. As a young girl Eightpenny was very adventurous and curious. She loved to explore the world around her, so every day she would go out and search for something new.

One day, while she was wandering around, Eightpenny came across an old abandoned house. She decided to explore the house and soon found herself in a room full of old coins. There were so many coins that Eightpenny couldn’t believe it. She started counting them and soon discovered that there were exactly eight pennies in the pile.

She was delighted to have found such a big pile of coins and quickly ran back home to show her family. Everyone was so excited to see the coins that Eightpenny had found, and they all agreed that it was the most valuable find of the day.

The family decided to keep the coins and use them for necessary purchases. Over the course of a few months, the coins helped Eightpenny and her family to afford some much-needed groceries, school supplies and even a few new toys for her siblings.

Eightpenny was very proud of her discovery and what it had done for her family. She never forgot the value of the eight pennies, and their importance to her family. Whenever she was feeling down, she would remember her lucky find and the amazing thing it had enabled her family to do.

The moral of this story is that small things can have a big impact on our lives. Even the smallest of finds, like Eightpenny’s eight pennies, can make a huge difference if we choose to use them wisely. We can never underestimate the power of a few small coins, or the value they can hold.
