Once upon a time, there lived a little boy named Raju. He was a mischievous and naughty child who loved to play pranks on others and tease them.
One day, Raju was playing hide and seek with his friends in a park near his house. As they were playing, Raju came up with a good idea. He suggested that they play a game of “hot and cold”. Raju’s friends were very excited by the idea and so they began the game. The rules were simple: one person had to close their eyes and count to ten, while the other person would run and hide. The seeker would then have to try to find the one who was hiding by asking “hot” or “cold”, depending on how close or far they were getting to the person who was hiding.
Raju and his friends were having a great time until one of Raju’s friends, Ram, decided to play a mean trick on Raju. He ran and hid behind a tree, but as soon as Raju started to get close, Ram ran away to another hiding spot, leaving Raju feeling confused and displeased.
Raju wanted to get revenge on Ram but he didn’t know how to go about it. Suddenly, he had an idea. He decided to pretend that he had seen Ram running from one hiding spot to another, and he started shouting at him, calling him a coward and a cheater.
Raju’s friends were shocked at this unkind behaviour and tried to intervene. But Raju paid no heed to their words. He kept on shouting and teasing Ram until eventually, Ram lost his patience and started to cry.
Seeing Ram in tears, Raju felt guilty and embarrassed. He immediately apologized to Ram and asked for forgiveness. Raju’s friends were glad that Raju was able to realize his mistake and apologized to Ram.
Raju learnt an important lesson that day: though it may be fun to play pranks on others and tease them, it is wrong to be unkind and displeasurable. Kindness and compassion are the best qualities that we should all strive for in our lives.
