Once upon a time there lived a young boy named Cumbrous. He was a very naughty boy and always tried to find ways to do things that were against the rules. His parents were very worried about him but were too soft to admonish him for his mischievous behavior.

One day, Cumbrous decided to take an adventure. He snuck out of the house and headed for a nearby forest. He heard that there were all sorts of strange creatures in the forest and he wanted to explore and see them for himself.

Cumbrous ventured deep into the woods and eventually found himself in an area that was unfamiliar to him. He looked around and noticed that the terrain became a bit more difficult to traverse. He also noticed a small hill in the distance. Figuring he would find more exciting creatures on the top of the hill, Cumbrous began to climb.

As he ascended, he felt the terrain become increasingly more cumbrous and difficult to traverse. He soon found himself having to use his hands to climb and maneuver his way up the hill. After what felt like hours to Cumbrous, he eventually made it to the top of the hill.

He looked around and saw a vast expanse of nature, including several different kinds of animals that he had never seen before. He was in awe and delight until he realized that he was not able to make it back down the hill. He was stuck at the top, with no way down.

Cumbrous started to panic as he thought about how he would get back home. He thought about calling his parents, but he would be in so much trouble for sneaking out in the first place. He began to cry and eventually fell asleep from exhaustion.

When Cumbrous woke the next morning, he heard a strange voice coming from nearby. He looked around and saw a small creature standing a few feet away from him. He was startled at first but the creature appeared to be harmless.

The creature told him that he was a guardian of the hill and that he had been observing him the night before. He explained that the hill had become cumbrous to traverse because Cumbrous had not followed the trail that was meant to be followed. The guardian then explained that the trail was meant to be followed in order to make the journey up and down the hill easier.

Cumbrous learned his lesson and vowed to never again make the same mistake. He made his way down the hill following the guardian’s instructions and eventually made it back home.

The moral of the story is that it is important to follow the rules and to not take any shortcuts that could make our lives more difficult. Be patient and make sure to do things the right way, or else you might find yourself stuck in an unfortunate situation.
