Once upon a time there lived a 5 year old boy named Alex. He was an active and lively boy, always looking for something new and exciting to do. One day, his parents decided to take him to a departmental store.
Alex was very excited just thinking about it and he couldn’t wait to explore the store. As soon as his parents allowed, he went straight to the children’s section and started looking for something that caught his attention. He noticed a dark brown corduroyed shirt and he found it to be very cool and attractive. He asked his parents to buy it for him and they happily obliged.
For the next few weeks, Alex was seen wearing the corduroyed shirt everywhere he went. He liked the feel of the fabric and was proud of his new shirt. He had never owned anything like it before and it made him look very dapper and stylish.
One day, his parents decided to take him to the local park. The weather was chilly and a gust of wind blew through. Alex was wearing his new corduroyed shirt and started shivering. He felt cold and uncomfortable and he wished he had a jacket or something to keep him warm.
Just then, Alex noticed a homeless man in the corner of the park. He was wearing an old, worn-out corduroyed jacket. Alex went closer to him and asked him why he was wearing a jacket even though it was very cold outside.
The homeless man told him that he wasn’t able to afford a proper winter coat and was using the old corduroyed jacket to keep himself warm. Alex felt guilty and sad all of a sudden. He watched the man shivering and thought about how lucky he was to be able to buy a shirt made of the same fabric.
Alex asked the homeless man if he wanted his shirt, but the man refused. He said that it was not necessary and he would be fine with the jacket. But Alex insisted, saying that he was getting too cold and he was sure the man would feel much better in the shirt.
Finally, the homeless man agreed to take the shirt. He thanked Alex for his kindness and generosity. Alex had a warm feeling inside and was proud of what he had done.
By the time Alex and his parents left the park, he had already forgotten about his shirt. But he never forgot the lesson he learnt that day. He realized that everyone around him deserved to be treated with kindness and respect, and he was determined to help others whenever he could.
The moral of the story is that even a small act of kindness can make a world of difference. We should always take the chance to help those in need, no matter how small the effort may be.
